Space Gnomes

Space Gnomes Arts Society is a non-profit organization that emerged from within the Alberta Burner Community. Although officially incorporated in 2014, we have been operating in a non-official capacity since our first community event, Not Decomp, held back in November 2010. We create inclusive, imaginative spaces for people to connect through art, music, and shared experiences.

Our mission is to support creative expression and build community by hosting themed dance parties, group camping adventures, and creating spaces that serve as an artistic backdrop for art and performances. Most of our events are 100% volunteer-driven, with all proceeds reinvested into infrastructure, art grants, and other community initiatives.

Beyond our own events, we’re always open to creating with others. If you’d like to bring Space Gnome energy to your event, need help creating a themed space, or require support and infrastructure for a project, we’re happy to collaborate with groups that share our values.

Whether we’re turning a community hall into a dance floor or building a cozy camp at a festival, we focus on creating spaces that are welcoming, creative, and easy to enjoy. Our crew shows up ready to create and enjoy a good time contributing to positive, memorable experiences.
