Space Gnomes

Space Gnomes Arts Society is a non-profit organization operating within the Alberta Burner Community. Although officially incorporated in 2014, we have been operating in a non-official capacity since our first community event, Not Decomp, held back in November 2010. We create inclusive, imaginative spaces for people to connect through art, music, and shared experiences.

Our mission is to support creative expression and build community by hosting themed dance parties, group camping adventures, and creating spaces that serve as an artistic backdrop for art and performances. Most of our events are 100% volunteer-driven, with all proceeds reinvested into infrastructure, art grants, and other community initiatives.

Beyond our own events, we’re always excited to collaborate. Whether you’re looking to add a splash of Space Gnome energy to your festival, want help designing a creative space, or need infrastructure and support for a unique idea — we’re open to partnerships that align with our values of creativity, inclusion, and fun.

Whether we’re transforming a community hall into a cosmic dance floor or setting up a cozy camp at a festival, the Space Gnomes are all about collaboration, creativity, and a good time shared amongst a respectful and welcoming crew.
